Pass That Ibuprofen

by Jaime   Jan 16, 2006

Life is going great-- but then
It's that time of month again
Struggling to get out of bed
Heat games playing with my head
Cramps that bring you to your knees
Pass that ibuprofen, please!
The world looks at me with hate
To yell I will not hesitate
Skipped on soccer, what can I say?
I won't chase a stupid ball today
My tummy is bloated out three feet
Kicked a random kid from down the street
I've got that stupid project due
Now noticed dog stuff on my shoe
About to pass out, feeling queasy
Those stupid boys say we have it easy!
Next thing I know I'm sprawled on the floor
What are my shoelaces untied for?
Did my math test, guess I'll fail
The one freakin' day I wish I was male

LOL! Nice work, great flow and the rhyming is excellent and doesn't sound forced at all. This is one of the few 5 star 'funny' poems I have read, and it completely deserves this rating :) Keep it up!
