Dead as our Love for each other

by Lady Vengeance   Jan 18, 2006

Distorted faces, black and white
Riddled with self hate
Gruesome Nightmares choke our dreams
And blood showers our faith

Lillies of the purest white
Bare tendrils of the frost
Rotten stumps that were once trees
We know not what we've lost

A lifetime suffered tombed in stone
That cracks when we are hurt
Another shattered heart, left cold
And still nothing we've learnt

Contorted hope and bleeding wrists
Now try wield your sword
Frozen steel with hints of rust
Forgiveness ask thy lord

A thousand times we've fought for life
And built withstanding walls
Only now to be destroyed
And watch our loved ones fall

Not your best in my opinion, but all your poems are very strong and have lots of emotion to them. You can feel it come through the poem which is really hard to do. Wonderful job.

Very vivid. I love the word usage here. I really don't have anything at all bad to say about it.
