Depressions Won

by Lithium   Jan 25, 2006

Come fly with me,
Across lands of flooded tears,
Running mascara, begging on our knees,
To be dragged into hell away from here,

The darkness that overcomes,
Ones mind in need,
A comfort so numb,
Thought it's what we plead,

When there's no face to turn to,
We look to the other side,
Mental is what we're called by you,
But it's what calms our mind,

When you think it's all slipped away,
You find yourself standing in darkness,
With those comforting thoughts you had today,
The ones that left a mark through a horrid test,

As you stand and think,
Of how it could be done,
Your heart begins to sink,
And you realize depressions won.

[I wrote this when something happened while I was away, sorry it's not long and not my best but it's something]
