Your pain is our pain

by Kyle Schulz   Jan 30, 2006

Why have you put faith in God,
Hasn't he caused all of this,
If he is so loving why is this going on,
Please tell me if there is something I miss,

In the summer your mom died,
As if that wasn't enough,
Then some sick freak raped you,
You don't need to prove that your tough,

Your best friend was killed right beside you,
And yet you still seem justified,
To have trust in a loving god,
By his will they died,

Many more troubles you have than me,
Yet happy and glad you act,
But the pain of a loss will not go away,
A soul can't take all of that,

Beneath your happy existence,
Above your "god has a plan"
I know you're crippled and stricken inside,
Your life is more than you can stand,

Let go of your struggles,
Pass all of your pain unto me,
I will be here, to bear it with you,
I will not leave you, honestly.

*This goes out to one of my best friends, but is dedicated to anyones with problems that needs someone to talk to. That last stanza is for all of you.

You are a good friend. Just something to think about, maybe her belief in God is her way of coping with all the crap she has been through. Don't take that away from her just b/c you don't agree. She needs you to help her, not pull her crutches out from under her. Just a thought. And thank you for the poem decication, that meant a lot.
