Fair Maiden

by Kim   Feb 2, 2006

A thousand pardons, I beg of you
Now let me on my way
Tis not my fault that though I leave
My heart be bound to stay
Twouldn't be my choice
Nor even my wish, maiden fair,
To be mixed up with the likes of ye
Ye with your golden hair
For I know that a belle like you
Takes heed of no mans haste
You, for whom the birds do sing
Could never do with only a taste
So I fare thee well my sweet
For tis now that we must part
For if I spent more time with you
You'd surely take me heart

*This is one of my older poems that I recently found, I enjoyed it even if it's not the deepest or best of poem. Hope it lightens you day :)*
