Picture Of You

by The Fly   Feb 12, 2006

What would you say,
If i told you that you were gorgeous.
Has no one said it before?
The way your hair flows like a river,
Your eyes like pearls, glowing.
And that voice, oh that voice.
Each note melodically taking my breath away.
But you say, no.
You say you arn't something that i told you so.
And I am left disappointed,
As you tell me I'm wrong.
I'm never wrong.
When i paint a picture inside my head,
And put it up for the world to see,
Its always beautiful, say the people.
Its always beautiful.
And my newest work, a picture of you,
Put up on top for all to see.
And they don't lie to me,
No they don't lie.
They tell me what i told you,
That you are gorgeous.
The way your hair flows like a river,
And your eyes like pearls glowing.
And that voice, yes that voice,
Singing softly to me.
I close my eyes, and let it linger,
And send sensation down my spine.
But still you say no,
That you arn't that of what i told you so.
But i don't care anymore what you believe,
For what you believe is wrong.
If the people of this planet were dandelions,
You'd be a rose in the middle, singing me a song.
Everything about you makes my heart beat faster,
Why is it that you can't see?
That when i paint this picture of you,
Alongside of you is me.
What would you say,
If I told you that you were gorgeous?
Would you say this time with a smile:
"I know my love, you painted me well."
