Wind of Love

by Bill Turner   Feb 17, 2006

Hint of you wafting in the air
Smell of the ocean taking it away
Washing over it like a wave upon the shore
Closing my eyes I breathe in your scent
Holding you in my arms once again spent

Envisioning an A frame at the beach
The golden orange dipping into the sea
Akin to strawberries and cream
Opening my eyes you are still here
Holding me, washing away my deepest fear

Change blows through my life with hurricane force
Knocking my world asunder, crashing through the windows of my soul
Blowing away the dust of days gone by, cleansing all it touches
Sitting in the sand months ago your name blew by me
Catching a glimpse of it in the wind floating free

As I dare reach out to hold onto it, the wind took it away
Not knowing that the breeze is ever blowing in my life
Your soul blew back into my world yet again
This time I was able to grasp that which I desire
Taking you in my arms feeling my soul catch fire

The wind of love now fans the flame
Your desire wrapped around me like a cloak
Protecting me from myself and the thoughts that hide
River of my life flowing deep with your love
Every day thankful to the lord above
