So scared

by Kurt   Feb 25, 2006

Black surrounds me
It's night not day
I'm pretty sure
I'm not okay

Death follows
Where ever i go
It's my turn soon
That i know

The light shines ever dimmer
I retreat farther back
My gold heart
Is fading to black

Terror builds behind me
Courage begins to fail
Blood leaves my cheeks
Turning my skin pale

I'm a coward
In the face of my sins
And this must be
How my Hell begins

Great peice. fantasticly written and a brilliant ending.

however, this line "And i turn pale
" somehow doesn't seem to fit in with the overall flow of the poem, it disrupts it slightly, nothing that isn't recovered again almost instantly so it is not a major flaw but it is therre.

    overall 5/5
