The Melody Sinks Deep Within

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Feb 27, 2006

The song's lyrics sink deep into my skin.
I feel the music, I feel its rythmn.
The artist's voice cries out to me, pleading.

Stuck in his world, he's barely holding on.
He sings about losing his mind.
He sings about slowly losing grip.

As the sad melody slowly fades,
Another artist's energy
Blasts through my speakers.

A whole different world opens up.
Happiness, joy, love.
A whole new perspective of life.

Its melody sinks deep into your skin.
The artist's pain, the artist's happiness,
All is translated into his music.
Music is poetry.

*i was listening to "last resort" by papa roach and "no one like you" by scorpions... very different in mood and styles lol

I adore the simplicity of your verses, and the raw feel of this poem. The songs actually started playng in my head while I read this -- that's a neat trick, lol. Toutefois, c'est une poème très passionante et vivide. Brava!

I like how you've managed to convey how the music affected you and a sort of connection to how the artist felt. It really came out well and you did a great job.
