Getting Close

I know you broke up with me,
and you don't want to talk to me.
but i have one thing to ask you.
why?
because everyone,
including me,
was shocked when it happened.
and nobody knows where it went wrong.
to be quite honest,
i think you broke up with me...
because you were too afraid to get close...
because you fell so hard the first time...
because you were hurt once before...

and now...
I too will be afraid
to get close
to someone
again...

    Good write... my only suggestion is to not end so abruptly with a one line stanze. It's suppose to be a sad ending that can use some pauses inbetween to emphasis your feelings... You may want to try this...

    and now ...
    I too will be afraid
    to get close
    to someone
    again...

    Of course, that's my own opinion... Keep up the good work!
