If we can dream,
why can't they come true?

if we can talk big,
why do we hold down?

if we try our best,
why they don't notice it?

if we talk with the truth,
why is there so many lies?

if we have love,
why do we have broken hearts?

if we can go on,
why do we always have to look back?

    Truthful poem, and thought provoking. A tad short though. In the third couplet I think it should be "don't they."
    I liked the last two couplets especially.
    Good poem.
