Miss You Forever

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Mar 1, 2006

As cheerful as a sunflower
standing in the sun,
She was always there for me
and always having fun.

Determined as the ocean waves
crashing against the shore,
Her spirit never dwindled
her heart could not hold more.

She would always speak to the wind
and it would answer back,
Nature seemed to be drawn to her
theres nothing she seemed to lack.

Her love reminds me of a solid rock
fighting against the rain,
Her hair always seemed to flow
behind like a horses mane.

My mom danced to music
early in the morn,
Never seemed to miss a beat
thats how my spirit was born.

Dear Mom, I will never forget
the times we spent together,
I'll always love you no matter what
you'll stay in my heart forever.

Please comment or vote, this poem means so much to me and it would be nice to get feedback:) thanks

You can really feel the sadnes in this poem, especially towards the end, the word choice is good, the structure suits the poem, and overall was a pleasure to read, keep on writing.
