Dark Soul

by Rachel   Mar 2, 2006

Fungus spreading through my veins
Like embalming fluid; eating my life away.
Your words deteriorate in front of my eyes,
I can see through your tricky disguise.

Running like a river,
You go on and on forever,
But you're sure to take some souls with you,
All the way down the river blue.

Sucking us dry of our emotions,
Adding our spirits to your many oceans.
I scream as I drown in your world of hate
Using us as your desperate escape.

You're affraid to face the world alone,
It's your problems that you tend to postpone.
Making others suffer FOR you
Running away from what you know is true.

I pitty your life of frusterations,
You will soon mold into a crustacean
All the way on the bottom of the ocean,
In a peaceful yet devious motion.

I look forward to seeing you be famous somday! (your profile) You have my dream job that I can't get b/c of family reasons and my station in life, but that is really cool, modeling, acting, singing, wow you go amaze the word!

You diction (word choose) and syntax (word usage,) was amazing here. You had some creatively crafted sentences and a strong rhyming power. These lines really hooked me:

    "Fungus spreading through my veins
Like embalming fluid; eating my life away"

You have a unique style that really captivated me and made this poem as nice read.
