The First Snow

by butterfly ♥ kisses   Mar 3, 2006

Bits of hope fall from Heaven,
Laced together with innocence,
Sent to cover all that is lost.
Smiles come so easily
And spirits are lifted up,
Making others believe
That maybe love might just be enough.

Bits of hope fall from Heaven
And melt upon your tongue,
Bringing color to your cheeks
And all the hurt undone.
Making hot chocolate a must
And warming every home upon the street.
Having that special someone to cozy up to
Is almost a guarantee.

A day of first kisses
And mitten covered hands.
Of nights of foreside romance
And playing in the December sand.
For one night the Earth forgets its misery
And as one enjoys the sight
Of a pure world
On a silent night.
