Parents

Growing up you're told to mind your parents and obey,
But in reality you don't really care what they say,

You yell at each other all day long and never stop the fight,
You may get "grounded" for a night cause to them their always right,

Then sometimes you try to be nice and let them call you "honey",
But all your really want is some spending money,

You think they are old and want to ruin your fun,
They tell you its all for the best and the conversations done,

You tell them you hate them and run away,
As kids you never EVER get your way no matter what you say,

Then you get older and realize all of it was true,
And that over the years your parents never lied to you,

Everything they said you use at one point or another,
And that the smartest people in you world are your father and mother.
