War

by Melody   Jan 20, 2004

Alone...
Engulfed in darkness they weep, barely able to speak. Bombs are heard overhead, shattering silence, scaring citizens. Through the streets flashes rage and pain. Burning buildings light up the night. Blood runs down the streets of screaming children. Calling...calling for their moms they lost. Skies blacken filling with smoke like hell itself. Air thickens like tar, choking the breath of the innocent. The earth fills with a booming noise, like pounding drums, rumbling shaking the earth with chaos. Trees now cast with flames, they fly through the night. Spreading through homes burning alive those hidden. Some on hands and knees pleading for mercy as its grasp pulls them into the earth's core. It strikes without warning, slowly pulling then slaughtering those with hope. Above heaven cries out. Angels frantically flying, grabbing the lost souls who were pulled by it. Silence...bombs stop, smoke dances among the night. Bodies lay scattered across the plains, pailer than snow. Blood still flows down the streets. Angels carry the souls away. They bow their heads clenching their fists. As they whisper in a low deep intense moan...war...
