The Final Blow

by Chelsey   Mar 6, 2006

You stole cupids arrows
But curse them with a spell
Sharpened them so happily
Getting ready to put me through hell

I was in the dark corner
Under a spotlight
Unsure if it was morning time
Or perhaps even night

That wicked laugh gave me chills
I wanted to laugh too
I remember those days (a week ago)
When I was laughing with you

I feel my arms tied in a rope
No way for me to move
Whether I fought back or not
A friendship I would lose

Your words hurt enough
My mouth dropped and heart tore
The way we avoid and don’t talk to each other
Hurt me even more

I’m to nice of a person
To try and get revenge
By your simple words “it’s on”
Tells me you want a challenge

How can I fight back though?
My words are my only weapon
My shadow is the only one that backs me up
No one else will step in

I see you practicing your aim
I’m unsure what you’re aiming at
I’m so scared for my heart
Please tell me you’re not aiming for that

It released from your hand
Oh man what do you know?
You struck my heart so hard
On that last final blow
