The End Of My Rope (sonnet)

by Death By Stereo   Mar 10, 2006

The seventeen years have brought me no life
nothing from anything just wasted time
and has culminated into this strife
with this rope in my hand the tree I climb
I've knotted my knot and tied my rope tight
to the strongest branch I found at the top
I'm ending my life, and I'll do it right
I think of my flight and the rope I drop
the length is perfect as I step to the edge
I take a deep breath and gather my rope
the ropes around my neck to you I pledge
"I tried my hardest to forget and cope
and it never helped so I plead to jump,
away from you and my dreams you did trump."

If you wish to read the poem I wrote.. it's called "Reoccurring Dreams"

This poem reminds me of the girl in my dreams. She comes and goes, recurring dreams. She scares me a lot, I wrote about her once. She hangs herself in one of my dreams. I always wake up in a cold sweat. I don't dream as much anymore. Because when I do she's always there.

..and now I shall take what I wrote above and write a poem with it. =)
