Remember Who You Are

by May   Mar 11, 2006

All the kids laughed
at the joke he told.
One girl is silent;
she is strong and bold.
The bully confronts her;
gets right in her face,
he wants a girl like her to remember her place.
She knows who she is
and knows what she wants.
she's not the kind of girl
to back down to jeers and taunts.
She just walks away
and leaves without a word.
People understand things more
when they're seen and not heard.
