Beautiful Disgrace

10 year old girl
With tears in her eyes
She can't make Daddy love her
No matter how hard she tries
She once thought she was loved
But now she's so unsure
If Mommy and Daddy even really
Want her anymore
The years pass by
She grows more and more alone
And finds it's actually safer
Anywhere but home
She starts to take too many pills
To help her fall asleep
She starts to cut to ease the pain
But is careful not to cut too deep
By 14 she is hopelessly drawn
To her self-harm addiction
As she cuts deeper and deeper
Closer to her damnation
By 17 all hope is lost
Her only wish is to die
She just gets hurt more and more
With every given lie
One day it becomes too much
She can't take it anymore
When all the hurt has made her
Numb down to the core
That's the day she kills herself
She takes away her life
By slitting her wrists down the road
With the cold steel blade of a knife
All happiness had left her
Disappeared without a trace
As her body laid there soaked in red
