Created In Her Head

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Mar 12, 2006

I watch as a young girl enters the park.
As soon as she spots the swings,
She rushes for them, mother in tow.

The little girl's eyes light up
As the woman places her upon the swing.
Her laugh echoes in the silent park.

Overjoyed, she begs her mother
To push her 'til she touches the sky.
She wants to fly with the birds.

I watch as the carries herself
To a world she created in her head.
Tilting her head back,
She lets the wind caress her cheeks.

She lifts her legs to the sky,
Trying to somehow touch it.
In a world created in her head.
