Coffin Within

by Jenie   Mar 14, 2006

Oh, Mommy and daddy are holding hands,
big brother and little sister trying to help each other stand,
grandma and grandpa_tears in their eyes,
best friends and boyfriend praying for their forgiveness on untold lies.
its freezing and its pouring down rain.
all the eyes_glancing at the stone with her name.
who knew such happy people could wear such colors of black.
who knew such strong people would have a smile to lack.
they hear the preacher say a verse
as mommy and daddy follow behind the slow ride in the hearse.
someone tosses a rose onto her oakwood coffin...
as they realize,
i hid my pain within!!!
