Ah how I miss the smiplicity of childhood, beautifully said Emma. You never stop amazing me, and this poem... Has to make the top of my favortes list. just...wow, you put so much passion into your work, theres a meaning behind every word, I've loved every minute watching you grow as a poet. =) I cannot wait for you master peices yet to come m'dear. Yeah, it sucks having to grow up. When i was little i used to wish that i could grow up faster cos it all seemed so much easier for grown ups...wasnt i silly lol. wicked poem em xxx |

That was so beautiful and sad and deep, it nearly made me cry! The first 2 verses are so gentle and soft, after that it really is like the harsh awakening, out of the soft, rosy light of memory, into the harsh light of day. Truly amazing in every way, and perfectly worded. 5/5 |

Oh wow... It's so true, as children we just want to rush and grow up, as adults we realise how stupid we were. At our age, it's tough, I'm still clinging to the dregs of my childhood, but ah well, we must try :D Absolutely wonderful poem, I couldn't have said it better myself.
