Midnight Wonderland (collab)

by Melissa   Mar 15, 2006

The moon shows herself to the window
and shines a soft glimmer of light
all over my bedroom walls.
Casting shadows of dreamers beckoning,
"lover won't you meet me at sweet wonderland?"

And the leaves outside offer their familiar breeze
to carry me,
while stardust falls upon my lips...
My eyes close heavy
into the dreamy magic that awaits.

Softly I murmur three acquainted wishes
and find myself in your arms.
You whisper in my ear,
"Your absence has been a thorn,
tie yourself to me, ribbon my limbs with love."

Words I have so longed to hear
now linger with your gentle kisses
soft against my skin. My promises
are offered in the silent lover's tongue,
and you answer me again...

With your taste-buds on my lips
and a mess of syllables in your hair.
Poetry finally reveals itself
with a voice that sings your heart's plea,
I'm in love with you loving me.

The taste of your soul consumes my senses
with your eyes reflecting every future memory,
As you ask me, do I know
how time and truth have fallen
for this heaven we are in.

The sound of my heart thumping
to the beat of your song,
awakens my soul, opening my eyes to reality
and was that you floating by
exchanging promises for goodbyes?

"It was only a dream, you foolish heart,"
I whisper.
When a sudden sparkle catches my eye
and I smile at the stardust
still scattered on my pillow...

It was a pleasure writing with you,
Keep on dreamin'! ;o)

Wow....this is amazing. Yall should definitely collaborate more often. I love the whole stardust on the pillow and fantasy element this has. It's absolutely breathtaking.
