Wet lashes

by mayme   Mar 15, 2006

Eyes burn with sorrow,
Wet lashes splash reminders of fear.
Black sleeves wipe away the tears.
I long for the burning light of tomorrow.

My ardent sister ignores me once more,
I cry my way home in the dark,
A great fear rises within my heart,
As wet lashes display reminders of lore.

A never ending cycle of malaise ,
I am the cause; I know, I am to blame,
So I lay my head in heated shame.
Wet lashes keep my joy in a haze.

You express yourself well, you are really hard on yourself as well. yet sometimes that is what it takes to began the process of healing.
