A Stranger's Comfort

by Ashes of a Black Rose aka Night Child   Mar 16, 2006

A stranger spoke to me last night
Pointed out a dimming light
Such a cold depressing sight
Close as love, losing life

Stranger showed me last night late
Life rests not in hands of fate
“Live and let live for all ours sake,
it’s too much for the heart to take.”

Stranger heard my agonizing cries
Kept me far from fictitious lies
Held me close and dried my eyes
Healed the wound, with wings I fly

Stranger felt my sorrow and hurt
Pulled me out of the ditch, brushed off the dirt
Embraced me, sewn up my shirt
From where my heart was sliced and all pain did exert
