Untitled

I stand here at the very edge
Feeling that salty breeze
Hearing the soft moaning
Of the wind in the trees

Way down below me
I see waves upon the shore
Yet I feel no fear
This is what I came here for

The wind brushes my face
Like a gentle touch and it comes back to me
All of those times when pain struck my heart
All of these painful memories

I want to close my eyes
And make everything better
but when my eyes flash open
All of the pain, I still remember

The wind calls my name
In a soft, entrancing voice
I want to follow the wind
Like I do not have a choice

Let the wind take me away
Somewhere where they can't get me
Let the waves wash me to the shore
Of an everlasting ecstasy
