The Ex Letter

by Timothy S   Mar 17, 2006

All this time spent, wasn't wasted
Pacing back and forth, wondering where the wrong went
Never meant to end anything, I put in all my worth
Words upon words, trying to mend everything
But it only brought on worse ending
I've moved on, only a small hurt, but I've kept alive, bending
No longer depressed, no longer pretending
Found happiness in another, but if I could
I'd go back and do it again, but change things for good
Whether it'd end up better or worse
We might not be the same, or maybe we would
But now it's the present, live the life that remains
It might be short, but at least I can say
The love was true between us, until that fateful Day
