A Letter to My Parents

by JustxLetxMexGo91   Mar 18, 2006

I bear this pain is silence,
As I stubbornly clench my jaw.
But, I still feel that tear starting to form,
Even though I want you to think I'm strong.....

You act like I'm a evil creature
A monster that has just been Unleashed....
The only thing I ask of you,
Is that
you practice what you preach

You say you love me still,
Even though I'm "a abomination to the human race",
What hurts is, you don't even notice
As that tear,
Slides down my once happy face.

You say I'm changed ,
You say I was sweet,
You wonder what happened
To your "little girl"
She grew up, without her loving Parents,
And has had to face the real world

How I wish you would look in the mirror
And see all the pain you cause!
You've helped turn me into who I am,
and so, even though you don't like it,

Live with it
As I have had to live with you,
Your cruel remarks, and your Uncompassionate laughs.....

Live with it

As I have had to live with being silent,
Because no matter what I say, you Don't listen........

Live with it,

And maybe someday all this we can leave all this bitterness behind us.
And maybe the pain will somehow, someday, drift away....
