She Never Heard

by JustxLetxMexGo91   Mar 19, 2006

Streams of red flow down her arm,
As she opens that old, crusty scab.
She smiles as she feels the numbness.
She loves how she for once, feels Peace.....

The streams have turned into rivers,
As they slowly, yet swiftly increase their speed.
She holds her arm over the floor and watches,
Watches as the drops of blood steadiliy drip off her fingers,

one, by one....

She never used to be like this,
No one would have thought this was her.
No one knew, no one ever knew,
The secret pain she carried inside....

A pain so real, so deep,
That she ran from it , day and night
It screamed over and over, reapeating in slow motion
she felt she had no choice, but to bleedâ?¦.

she silently sits there,
broken, but beautiful
as a thought pops into her head
what if she ended it now?
she need not live this lie anymoreâ?¦.

she reaches for her truest companion
she slowly wipes off the blade
she postitions it just so,
and she slolwly draws a line across her wrist.

the blood gushes in a fountain of scarlet
as she sits there silently watching
she lays down her head and just stares
waiting for her last, and final breath to come

two weeks later a crowd gathers
around her newly dug grave
her family and friends are shaking
and no one refrains their tears

they wonder why this happenedâ?¦.
why o, why didnâ??t she see?
they were there waiting, calling her name
but, she never must have heard
