Expectation

by Jon Hunt   Mar 19, 2006

How could I be expecting this,
A disclosed love, but deathly kiss.
And is it that I'm wanting you,
Despite all others which I knew?
And you, the one I never thought,
Nor gave chance neither second glance.
Or thought of as it now would seem,
Which brought about this other dream.

For need someone I know its true,
But which someone and is it you?
And everyone can say its not,
But no one now can make this stop.
As thoughts have start to weave and wind,
A dangerous weapon in this mind,
Twill destroy me if I'm not found,
That of which my thoughts confound.
And could this work I'm sure it might,
If I avoid my mental fight.
And go with flow and take your hand,
To let you lead me through this land.

For maybe this isn't so hard a task,
But mind makes simpler? No! Rather blast,
These thoughts until they seem as wrong.
But have I known it all along,
That not the devil that I know,
No rather more a separate foe.
But not in conflict, enemy nor more,
But one so close of love so pure.
That means the most that most could mean,
And still exist in more than dream,
And maybe just my mind conceives,
To be with you, and just believe.
