For her

by Jon Hunt   Aug 14, 2006

So there it was, the scene was set,
The lies, behold; turn remorse, regret.
And in those days when one fell down,
Came the others crowding round.

With hopeful word, and friendly smile,
To lift the fallen, just awhile.
But fallen, pushed or tripped; He fell.
Although perhaps it wasn't as he would tell.

For once he built bridges in the sky,
And once he wished he were to fly,
Many times more, if just to cry
But not anymore, is this goodbye?

Doubt this much, it's not the end,
Just to that, which was pretend?
He has no problems, maybe one,
But nothing wrong with what he's done.

Only with that which isn't there,
Only for her, that touch so fair.
For her? Some-one he doesn't know,
But that some-one, one day will show.
