Through the Windscreen

by Jon Hunt   Sep 13, 2006

Take the wheel,
Hit the bottle.
Lives to steal;
Floor the throttle

Skim the hedge,
Blast the curve.
On the edge;
Without a nerve

Jump the lights,
Cut the lanes.
Drunken delights:
Once again.

Vision's a blur,
Lights all flash.
Visions of her;
Before the crash.

Off of the road,
Down the hill.
This life erodes;
This metal kills.

Flung through the windscreen;
Love did this.
And through this windscreen;
Life was finished.
