Full Of Beauty

by ♥Oh... What a Perfect Tragedy I am♥   Mar 21, 2006

Full of Beauty

Full of beauty
like a rose
a young girl plays
outside
while the sun's rays gracefully
touch her soft skin

She stands still
and watches the bees and butterflies
fly around
as if they were playing tag

Her hair
and the pink ribbons
which hold her hair
dances in the
fresh cool breeze

She picks wild flowers
hoping that one day
she might give them
to the one she truly loves

She daydreams
of how her life
will be like when she grows older

A white house with
a picket fence
out in the country
with her special someone
whom she holds close in her heart
is all she wishes for

One day
her father comes home
drunk
without thinking he grabs a gun
and demands that his daughter
to go to her room

She runs to her room
next she hears
a gun shot
and another

Quickly she runs to her parents bedroom
and see her mom and dad
lying in their own puddle of blood

She sits beside them
holding on to the both of them
tears streaming down her cheeks

Then softly she whipers
"mommy, daddy, i love you"

The next day
the headlines read
"Father on rampage kills mother, daughter commits suicide"

Full of beauty
a memory
just left
of unfulfilled dreams
and wishes
