Like A Dove

by flawed diamond   Mar 21, 2006

Like a dove
I held you close to me
Tight in my arms
Even though you I must free

I use to think
I would have you for long
Now it's sad to know
I was thinking wrong

So like a dove
I am releasing you
Like a blooming flower
It will make me new

Like a dove
It symbolizes
Free yes
But no good-bye

Lost to me
But with me wasn't home
That's the logical thinking
To justify you being gone

So now that i've released you
My own little dove
Where ever you are
I know you are reigning love
