The War Within

by S R P   Mar 26, 2006

It's all a lie
just a lie
turned around
attempts are dry.

A little white lie
turned to black.
A morning sunset
seems to crack.

Blood thirsty
a mind of malice.
A soul turned black
more pain, more callous.

A heart of stone
no emotions here
keep to your throne
and hold your loved ones dear.

Sucking out the spirit
dementing the mind
time to commit
the ultimate crime.

Tears of anger
tears of hate
start the war
and seal the fate.

Eyes turned red
blood turned cold
something inside is certainly dead
an unseen event starts to unfold.

The smell of death hangs in the air,
bodies torn beyond repair.
Souls departed
the war has started.
