Sight (or Lack There Of)

by out of death   Apr 1, 2006

You look at me and see a face
But do you see a soul?
Or do you see a mindless race
Longing to be whole?

Do you see a lonely girl
Grasping a crimson blade?
Or do you see a lonely world
Upon the scars she's made?

Do you see her troubled life
Or the tortures she's endured?
Can you see her dwindled light
Slain upon the floor?

Do you even see at all
Or blind do you remain?
You didn't even see her fall
Or watch as she was maimed.
