Lies

by LockedInEternity   Apr 2, 2006

She sits in the corner of her dark, empty room.
She screams out her emotions and cries.
Her tears smear her make-up, she hears her heart boom.
Her life is so f u c k e d up with lies.

It all started with one.
Then that became two.
The lies, they got stronger,
The bigger they grew.

She lied to her parents,
Her teachers, her friends.
She started ignoring,
The truth that she bends.

And soon it's like breathing.
The lies just come out.
Too late to go back now,
The truth starts to sprout.

Her friends won't forgive her.
She lied to them all.
Adults can't believe her.
She sees her life fall.

She looks in the mirror.
Her reflection so bleak.
She's drugged up and nauseous.
Hasn't eaten all week.

Stole money for drugs,
But it wasn't enough.
Got kicked out on the streets,
Her whole life a bluff.

She had lied to her parents,
Her teaches, her friends.
She started ignoring,
The truth that she bends.

She could only go forward.
Cause the past has gone by.
And to think this all started,
With one little lie.

Well to me i found the poem nice! it has meaning in it, that once u start something small it would always grow to something big, and i like the way you could add that meaning to your poem using a simple lie!

    Keep it up!5/5
