Why look sad in photographs

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Apr 3, 2006

Why look sad in photographs
When it's just another form
Of a memory of misery to look
Back on now and then
Why look sad in photographs
When you look sad everywhere
Else
Why look sad in photographs
When you're hiding how you feel
From everyone else
Why look sad in photographs
When someone out there wants a
Picture of you
Why look sad in photographs
When all I dream about is you

Why smile in photographs
If you're not happy at all
You'd look back on memories of
Happiness that were never there at
All
Why smile in photographs
When there's nothing to smile
About
Why smile in photographs
When no one knows how you feel
Why smile in photographs
When the only time they look at
The picture is now and then
Why smile in photographs when
My heart needs room to mend

My heart was broken several times
It's not ready to love
Even if I try
It's just a waste of time
The smile means nothing
As does my life
It's meaningless
And when I die I'll be a memory
Of few
The greatest one affected would Just
Be love struck you
I can't smile
With out tears in my eyes
I can't loose my frown
Without it just meaning more lies
And when the camera flashes
My eyes blink and there are the
Tears
I don't want people to bother me
Their hugs wont heal my heart
Their caring is just silly
It's a waste of time to care
For my constant despair
Let me be leave me alone let my
Heart forever tear
And so forever more this frown I
Will wear
Don't wipe my tears
Don't touch my arm
Let the tears shed on
As I wear my frown
I wear it all the time
Like the king wears his crown
I promise I wont kill myself
In these tears I will not drown
And if I did start to drown
It wouldn't matter anyway
There is no life guard in my world
To save my miserable day
I'm done talking to you now
Please step away
You can't take my heart and you
Can't take my frown
It's permanently there
My smile was erased
It doesn't matter anyways
Smiling is a waste
Don't touch me any more
Stop trying it's no use
No one has the power
To set my misery loose
It's chained up to my heart
It's locking in my soul
Emotions forever lost
The happy ones at least
The sad ones are here to stay
I have some company at least
My cheeks will never be dry again
Always damp with salty tears
Please don't try to help me
I can get through this on my own
I would rather spend my time
Without you
Just alone
