You make me feel bright,
Like flowers in the morning light,
I always want to be close to you
Even if it isn't true

I like you differently than you like me,
I know deep down it can never be,
We are such good friends
And I couldn't bring that to an end

You mean so much to me,
I want us both to be set free,
From life with misery and pain,
To a life with no more rain

Together we can be happy
No more people being snappy
So can we give this love a try
While time just floats on by
