New love blossoms

by Jacob Perry   Apr 13, 2006

As i trudged through the sea of rage
i looked around trapped in a cage
then my eye did spy a mage
whom smelled of peppermint and sage

I saw her there, and the water clear,
then the bars disolved away
I knew then she would be most dear
and now shes haunts me day to day

and with pride i walk to her without fear
to the one i hold so dear
with relinquished years
and now relinquished fears

I do like this and i understand what it is saying, in particular the second stanza i feel most strongly, its a wonderful representation of how that meeting that special person feels.
All in all a great poem, lets see if we can up that rating!

    Cheers, Jon

I'm not sure if I got the message but the wording was beautiful and strong. Not the ordinary words in some parts which I loved.
