Why do you tell me you love me?
You raise my hopes so high...
So euphoric I think I'm flying,
Only to be brought crashing, lower than ever before.

You say and swear and promise
That we are in it forever; we're partners,
No one like us in the history of man
And we have each others backs.

Well... I've had yours,
Now and a million times before
But where are you when I need you?
And when I reminisce...
Where have you ever been?

Sure, you're prominent
Laughing all the time
But when I've been down
So down rock bottom scrapes my head...
I don't remember hearing you then.

I am well aware that everyone had their problems
But that's what friends are for.
And it seems as though whenever I've voiced mine...
Yours have always been that bit more important.

How is it that I put mine on hold,
Put myself out
For you
For your problems
Show solidarity, adoration in the face of frequent adversity
Yet when I need you
When I'm begging for a hand to hold
You mysteriously disappear.

This is good, it is angry and edgy and blunt. but despairing, which is not nice to think people make you feel this way. but katie, say the word and their hamster will be miiiiighty soggy...
