Guardian

by Elynnka   Apr 18, 2006

-I-
I am the angel that bears the scars
Of all the wounds you try to hide,
I am the angel of shooting stars
That fall when worlds seem to collide.

I am the one that is there
Whenever you feel alone,
I am the one that will always care
When you feel like you have no home.

I am the angel that weeps for your pain
And your anguished heart,
I am the angel that keeps you sane
When you feel lost in the dark.

I am the one that you never see
For your eyes are blinded by hate,
I am the one that sets you free
When you think that it's too late.

-II-
A guardian enslaved by your devious mind,
I feel chained to your anger and grief
As I try to guide you in order to find
The hope that's hidden by your disbelief.

But you do nothing to give me a hand
And help me lead you to your misery's end,
Nothing to help me get you through this evil land,
Nothing except pretend.

Being your guardian is the toughest task,
For you can't stand still, not even for a minute
And you're not making things easier if you still ask
For me to take your heart and with bills fill it.

Take some time for some introspection
And just maybe you'll come to see
That all is happening cause of your rejection
And most of all it's hurting me...

  • Oh I love it! Your poems are lovely, there sad, but really nice if you get me. Alot of people can mess up their poems by breaking the flow, or shovin in random words because they cant find something to rhyme, but yours are perfect
