Ship of Fools

by Twisted Heart   Apr 18, 2006

Cast your eyes upon the horizon of untruth
Embrace the deprivation of you pirated soul
Let the embers of hopelessness forever burn
And leave your heart unquenched and cold.

See not the innocence of love long past
For the shores of dreams are distant
Take hold the wheel that guides the ship
And plunder waters without resistance.

Hold steady the mast of despaired fear
Unable to let go the anguished pain
Look not with eyes that has seen the light
But with bitter words of hate that still remain.

Let the winds of time possess the sails
And lead you precariously with stubborn rules
Walk lonely steps upon the deck
Of this crowded Ship of Fools.
