Why Should I Try?

You told me you loved me,
But that was all a lie.
You told me I was important,
But now I sit in my room and cry.

Just to think what all I have lost;
One of the most wonderful things.
I have pretty much given up
Because this is what friendship truly brings.

You see me sitting there by myself,
And deep down inside you don't care.
Why should I try to keep you,
When you were the one that wasn't being fair?
