Remote (about suicide)

I need a remote
That I can use to rewind and playback
The times that were happy
And edit out the times that were black

I need a remote
To remind me that there is still hope
To go back to the times
Were the stress in my life wasnt too much for me to cope

I need a remote
So that I can watch the times where I cried from laughter
Where my tears were merely joy
Not from the emotions that make me weaker

I need a remote
To show the times that people cared
That if I was to lose all hope in everything
I could watch my life tape and know that people were there

I need a remote
To watch and learn from my mistakes
Not go down the same road to depression
Every time I feel my whole body ache

I need a remote
To watch my family on a big screen because now Im dead
Watch as they live their lives so happily
They are happy because I am no longer a thought in any of their heads
