Given a soul, body, and free will so I could live my life with some meaning,
I know that it was given to me to serve a bigger purpose from the beginning
Even though I felt at times my soul absent from my own life,
It's always been there just dormant hidden away from the light
As my heart squeezes through my veins the life giving liquid,
Within that blood God resides making it all seem sacred
Even though I'm ashamed to say I'm not his most loyal follower,
No one can shake my belief in the one and only our father
He's always been present along with every day, night, and second,
No matter the outcome I know this to be true until the very end
I only hope that at that time I'll be ready to receive anything given to me,
But I know that I will be willing to do anything asked so that I will be
A struggle presides within but even so I'll always be true to myself,
No evil can touch me because my life has never been dedicated to wealth
With this view on life only experience can tear me down,
I've accepted it all, I'm ready... please God, take me now.....
