Nana Lil

Today is the hardest day of my life,
i must say goodbye, but it burns inside.
i feel like i wanna sit and cry, as the feeling burns more and more inside.

you were so special to me,
I'm your great granddaughter,
the first of many,

many a times we've giggled with joy and you brought me my favorite ever toy.

oh great Nana Lil your now safe and sound,
although your feet don't touch the ground,
i still see and hear you all around.

there's a special place just for you tucked away from the sad and blue,
this special place in my heart which no one can ever tear apart.

and now i know that you are safe,
i sleep peacefully in my own little place.

    An emotional write, it's very hard to let someone go and you wrote about this well. I liked the first two lines, the description of the burning feeling inside was good, and very true.
    Just some corrections: you have "tare" it's spelt "tear."
    On the second to last line it should be "and."
    Well done, touching write.
