I try to forget

I spent all day,
Trying to forget,
The pain i feel inside,
Ever since we met.

And I try to forget your laughter
The sound of your voice
But when all is silent,
Its like i dont have a choice.

And i try to forget your kisses,
The ones that felt so sweet
But even when i'm sleeping,
I feel them in my dreams

And I try to forget your touch,
As you held me in your arms
But the safety that i felt inside,
Is just a memory of your charm

And I try to forget the promises
The ones i thought were true,
But i should have known that they were lies
When you said "I'll be here for you."

I try to forget the way I cried
When I knew things had changed
But even when you couldn't tell me
I knew you weren't the same

I try to hide my secrets,
But you know they are there
Bleeding from inside my soul...
And suddenly....
I'm scared.

    Wow that is so sad... it brought a tear to my eye cause I can relate to this 100%. You really let out your emotions on this and you did a great job on it. I loved it.

    This was my favorite stanza!! Very deep!! Great way to end it!! Really sad but good to!!! Wonderful!! Couldnt change a thing!! 5/5!!
