Love through the grapevine

by David   Apr 29, 2006

I heard through the grapevine,
your ending your life,
Your eyes through their pain,
cant bare to look twice,

The sight of her smiling,
with another at helm,
She was your princess,
your pearl and gem,

The one you adored,
trusted and loved,
If heaven where birds,
then she was the dove,

I plead with my conscience,
to try and overcome,
The pain through my heart
a feeling so numb,

I heard through the grapevine,
life goes on,
Though the pain Im feeling,
Ill still stay strong,

Ill sow my heart,
wipe the tears from my eyes,
Soar through the sky,
spread my wings and fly,

Taking my life,
is letting life take me,
so release me from love,
please set me free;
